Johnny Case in Wonderland . . . hopelessly adrift in popular culture

Bob Harris (Bill Murray), said in response to a photo director during a print ad shoot for Suntory Whisky in Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation.  This is the last film I’m teaching this semester and it’s easily one of my three or four all time faves—so dreamy and wistful and melancholic and utterly perfect—so we’re going out in high style.
